    05.JAN.2014This is an OEM filter and filter housing.It came in a Volvo parts bag.For all practical purposes I cannot tell the difference between this and what I took off my car.

    Nice thing is that you get a Volvo filter with the new housing, Not so nice a thing is that you would never need this if Volvo would spec a normal oil filter. Buy the tool made to remove this and you will not chew up the housing next time, and save yourself a peck of trouble.

    It is the real deal. volvo stamping on housing and filter. fit the V70R 2006 perfect. If you need this part just get it. My plastic housing was starting to get worn and i didn't want to take a chance of it striping. Although it doesn't come with directions like buying the filter from volvo, remember to lube the rubber seal it comes with and use a new crush nut on oil plug.
